Obituary of Paul M. Jackson

Bedford Paul M. Jackson, 81, of Bedford, died at 1:40 pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the home of his daughter. Born January 26, 1926 in Martin Co., he was the son of William Mason and Schaustal (White) Jackson. He married Wilma Weaver on June 21, 1947 and she preceded him in death on December 17, 2003. He was a cable splicer and line gang worker for Indiana Bell for thirty-seven years retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving with the Seabees. He was a member of Gillen Post #33 American Legion, Telephone Pioneers, Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM and the Shriners. He was of the Baptist faith. An avid gardener, Paul loved to share his produce with his friends at Hardees and all over town. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa June Tackett, Tonya Mullis and her husband, Jerry, Kathy Ritchison and her husband, Joe all of Bedford ; one sister, Phyllis Anderson of Bedford; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, Loretta Day; four brothers, Eura Thomas, Dira Cecil, William Eschol and Joseph Glen Jackson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Brent ONeal officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 24th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, August 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
