Obituary of Dwight Noble Carmichael
Springville Dwight Noble Carmichael, 57, of Springville, died at 9:56 am on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born January 16, 1954 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Dwight and Jewell Carmichael. He married Tena Fields on April 20, 1979 in the Owensburg Baptist Church. He retired as a journeyman tool and die maker from Central Foundry. He was the owner of Carmichael Machine Shop from 1988 to the present. He was a graduate of the Oolitic High School with the class of 1972, a member of Perry Township Advisory Board and of the Baptist Faith. He will be remembered by friends and neighbors for his loving heart and giving spirit.
Survivors include his wife, Tena of Springville; four children, Timothy Bernard and wife, Becky of Linton, Andrea Ritter and husband, Matthew of Springville, Erika Carnes and husband, James of Linton, Brent Carmichael of Springville; seven grandchildren, Devin, Eryn and Davis Bernard, Madelyn Ritter, Seth, Alleigh and Zoie Carnes; three sisters, Carol Appleby and husband, Jon of Bedford, Ruby Fletcher Robertson and husband, Dan, of Bedford; Judy Bowman and husband, Rick of Columbus, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Donna Faye Carmichael (in infancy) and Kathy Carmichael Bowman and a brother-in-law, Michael Fletcher. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Danny Goens officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
