Obituary of Avonda Lou Callahan
Bedford Avonda Lou Callahan, 63, of 66 Old Farm Road, Bedford, died Friday, March 26, 2010 in Summerfield, Florida.
Born November 3, 1946 in Bedford, she was the daughter of James and Catherine (Hughes) Osborn. She married Odus Callahan on January 10, 1967 and he survives. Lou was the owner of Callahans Critter Corner and a dog groomer for twenty-six years. She and her husband operated the O-D-Lou Christmas Tree Farm for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church and active in the Fayetteville Lions Club, Fayetteville Good News Club and Fayetteville Awanas.
Survivors include her husband, Odus; two sons, Sean Callahan and wife, Rebecca of Francisco, IN, Michael Callahan and wife, Tena, of DeKalb, IL; five grandchildren, Kenney Hallam, Samantha Callahan, Payton Callahan, Alexander (A.J.) Callahan and Caitlin Callahan; a sister, Monta Sue Wagner and husband, Leland, of Ocklawaha, FL; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gayle Worrell. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 2nd at the Fayetteville Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, April 2nd at the Fayetteville Baptist Church.
