Obituary of Harold Paul Allen

Heltonville-Harold Paul Allen, 69, of Heltonville passed away at 5:05 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at his residence. Born November 10, 1942 in Lawrence County he was the son of Durward and Helen (Lantz) Allen. He married Elaine Slaton on July 28, 1967 and she survives. He retired from Cummins Engine Corp. as an assembly worker and also from the North Lawrence Community School Corp as a custodian. Surviving with his wife Elaine are three daughters: Melissa Hackney and her husband Dave of Leesville, Jamie Williams and her husband Stan of Bloomington, and Geri James and her husband Robert of Bedford; two sons: Scott Allen of Heltonville, and Josh Allen and his fiance Jennifer Smith of Heltonville; six grandchildren: Tyler McGlocklin, Jacob Perry, Chase Allen, Mikala Hagg, Nathan Williams and Evan Williams; one sister: Janet Fleetwood and her husband Donnie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Wendy Vanderzee officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville.
