Obituary of Betty J. Butler

Bedford Betty J. Butler, 85, of Bedford, died at 1:40 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the home of her son. Born November 15, 1928 in Bedford, she was the daughter of James and Drusella (DeTinne) VanWinkle. She married Harold A. Butler on August 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2005. She retired as an electrical and visual inspector for General Electric in Bloomington in 1990. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Bedford. Survivors include two sons, Larry Butler and wife, Cheryl, Jerry Butler and wife, Karen all of Mitchell; four granddaughters, Alicia Butler of Bedford, Ashley Stevens and husband, Jeremy of Indianapolis, Kalee and Kylee Butler both of Mitchell; three great grandchildren, Cayse Reed Stevens, Shayna Stevens and Dylan Dean Pilkenton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Emma Hildum, Mildred Nikirk and Marlene Kern; two brothers, Otto and Charles VanWinkle. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Glenn Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
