Obituary of Lawrence Raymond Allen

Bedford Lawrence Raymond Allen of Bedford, 81, died at 5:40 am on Friday, June 27, 2008 at StoneBridge Health Campus. Born August 29, 1926 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ruel and Helen (Mosier) Allen. He married Dorothy Johnson on January 19, 1944 and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2005. He was a retired truck driver from A & H Truck Lines. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge & Murat Shrine Club. Survivors include; two sons, John Allen and his wife Sharron of Bedford, Michael Allen and his wife Susie of Oolitic, four grandchildren, Kelly McClure of Washington, IN, Melissa Levine of Ft. Wayne, David Tatro of Oolitic, Heather Speer of Bedford, six great grandchildren; Curtis McClure, Allison Levine, Ashley and Shelby Tatro, Tiauna and Coleman Speer, one sister, Ruby Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wayne Allen. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Green Hill Cemetery. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Carter Mortuary.
