Obituary of Rawleigh G. Isom
Bedford Rawleigh Isom, 84, of 1511 2nd Street, Bedford, died at 5:00 am on Monday, February 17, 2003 at his residence.
Born April 10, 1918 in Bedford, he was the son of Henry and Ida (Vaught) Isom. He married Bethel (Betty) Inman and she preceded him in death. He later married Armyllis (Milly) Meadows and she survives. He was retired from Central Foundry and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Navy.
Surviving with his wife, Milly are one son, Larry Isom and his wife, Pamela of Clarksville, IN; one daughter, Susie Skillman and her husband, Terry of Bedford; one step-daughter, Elaine Elliott and her husband, Paul of Avoca; four grandchildren, Michael Isom and his wife Pearline of New Albany, IN, Kimberly Weir and her husband, Tom of Louisville, KY, Shannon Thomas and her husband, Brian of Springville, IN, Sheryl Davis and her husband, Jason of Bedford; eight great grandchildren, Alex Isom, Shelby Lyn Davis, Jordon Davis, Samantha, Sara and Benjamin Weir, Lauren and Logan Thomas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; five brothers, Elmer, Arthur, Spencer, Ralph and Frank Isom; five sisters, Maggie, Nina, Blanche, Leona and Daisy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 20th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Jack Rowe and Rev. Carl Leth officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
