Obituary of Joan M. Browning

Bedford Joan M. Browning, 73, of 2314 35th Street, Bedford, IN, died at 1:20 pm on Monday, September 22, 2003 at her residence. Born November 2, 1929 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth (Thompson) Miller. She married Ray E. Browning on January 2,1954 and he died October 15, 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Bedford. Survivors include one daughter, Susan E. Bower of Bedford; three sons, Lanny Browning of Indianapolis; John E. Browning of Bedford and Jim Browning of Tequesta, FL; two grandchildren, Mark Bower and Julia Cootes; four great grandchildren, Michael and Mallory Cootes, Levi Meadows and Bryce Bower; two sisters, Mary Louise Tichner and Evalyn Loughlin. Funeral Information Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 26th at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Bedford. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
