Obituary of Helen Kathleen Brown

Bedford Helen Kathleen Brown, 88, of Bedford, died at 9:25 am on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born June 15, 1920 in Macon Co., IL, she was the daughter of Dex and Ethel (Brock) White. She married Aubrey C. Brown on June 26, 1943 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1992. She was a seamstress and member of the First Church of God where she was active with the womens missionary society. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Carol S. Scott and her husband, Ed, of Bedford and Marsha L. Miller and her husband, Eldie of Poland, IN; two grandchildren, Diane Meiser and her husband, Frank, Lisa Hackney; great granddaughter, Kathleen Meiser and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Hazel Hash. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Travis Inman officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, December 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
