Obituary of Marjorie A. Broglin

Bedford Marjorie A. Broglin, 89, of Bedford, passed away at 1:11 pm on Wednesday, January 05, 2011 after a short illness of pneumonia. Born May 23, 1921, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Robert Lawrence and Mona (Reed) Leahy. She married Albert Baker Dutch Broglin on August 6, 1950 and preceded her in death on July 12, 2008. She had been a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1939. Marjorie was a homemaker raising three children. Marjorie worked part time as a receptionist and also at the Lawrence House Gift Shop. Survivors include one daughter, Alicia B. Parker and husband, Matthew, of Bedford; two sons, A. Christopher Broglin and wife, Angie, of Evansville, Jon Broglin of Oolitic; two grandsons, Harrison Parker of Bedford and Jordan Broglin of Evansville; one sister, Barbara Jean Steinhagen of Morristown, NJ; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Carol Frances Quillen and Catherine Anne Sears. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, January 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
