Obituary of Albert B. Broglin
Bedford- Albert Baker Broglin, 86, of 1319 M Street, Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center in Bedford.
Born April 29, 1922 in Oolitic, IN he was the son of Albert Marion and Bernice Queen (Baker) Broglin. He married Marjorie Ann Leahy on August 6, 1950 and she survives. He was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Indiana University. He retired as a Colonel in the United States Army and also from the Indiana Employment Security Division. During his lifetime he owned several family businesses; Broglin Hardware & Gift Shop and the Broglin Laundromat all in Oolitic, IN.
Surviviors include his wife of 58 years Marjorie; one daughter: Alicia B. Parker and her husband Matthew of Bedford; two sons: A. Christopher Broglin and his wife Angie of Evansville, and Jon Broglin of Oolitic; two grandsons: Harrison Parker of Bedford, and Jordan Broglin of Evansville; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Betty Louise Brown of New Albany and several Aunts and Uncles, and one Nephew. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 16th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
