Obituary of Eva Margaret Brock
Bedford Eva Margaret Brock, 86, a resident of Garden Villa in Bedford, died at 10:15 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
Born January 30, 1922 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Chester L. and Margaret M. (Isom) Spainhourd. She married Ronal P. Brock on September 6, 1946 and he died on September 3, 1999. She was a homemaker and a former operator for Indiana Bell and later employed at NWSC CRANE. Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society and Indiana Bell Telephone Pioneers. She was a former assistant Girl Scout leader and member of the Lincoln School PTA. Margaret was a veteran of WW II serving with the Womens Army Corps. and was a fifty-five year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Hancock and her husband, Skip of Bedford; four grandchildren, Steven Megnin of Bedford, Jeremy Megnin of Bloomington, Andrea Davis and her husband, Bill of Garland, TX and Malissa Hancock of Indianapolis; eight great grandchildren, Logan Megnin of Bloomington, Nikki Hancock and Heather Long both of Garland, TX, Mallory, Patricia, Mary, Roger and Tony Davis all of Garland, TX; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Norma Brock of Bedford. She was prececed in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Evelyn Shafer and Fern Wray, one brother, Carl Spainhourd. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, July 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
