Obituary of Elsie Lorene Brock

Bedford Elsie Lorene Brock, 85, of Bedford, went on to be in the waiting arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ at 6:50 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born November 15, 1921 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Volney and Grace (Hall) Kern. She married James Harold Brock on July 10, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Union Christian Church. She was a volunteer at the Hoosier Christian Village and a member of N.A.R.F.E. Survivors include two daughters, Myra Nicholson and Mona Cobb both of Bedford; two sons, Jimmie and Kenny Brock both of Bedford; a sister, Mabel Henderson of Bedford; a brother, Olin Kern of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Waldo and Alan Kern; two grandchildren, Toni and Chris. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, October 22nd at the Old Union Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday at the Old Union Church. View Video Tribute
