Obituary of Norma Jean Brock
Bedford Norma Jean Brock, 81, of 2217 27th Street, Bedford, died at 9:13 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born August 9, 1928 in Orange Co., she was the daughter of Clifton and Lucy Ellen (Newton) Marshall. She married Eddie Noble in 1947. She later married Dean M. Brock on December 8, 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2003. Norma graduated from the French Lick High School with the class of 1947. She was employed with Indiana Bell for twenty-nine years. She was a member of the Indiana Bell Pioneers and the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sara Snyder and husband, Alex Rocky of Silverville; one son, Daniel E. Noble and wife, Marlene of French Lick; four grandchildren, Amber Noble, Chris Mills, Quiana Hall and Marshall Noble; four step-grandchildren, Sara Derringer, Alex Snyder, KayC Snyder and John Snyder; five great grandchildren, Christopher Mills, Caden Mills, Ryder Hall, Macy Hall and Landen Noble; four step- great grandchildren, David Roe, Haylee Sullivan, Mason Burch and Alexandria Snyder; one grand-dog, Skunk; one sister, Avis Lorraine Charnes of Louisville, KY; seven nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother, Jimmy Clifton Marshall. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, November 23rd at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 22nd and from 8:30 am until 9:45 am on Monday, November 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. A rosary service will be conducted at 5:30 pm on Sunday, November 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
