Obituary of Olivia Bridwell

Bedford Olivia (Tia) Bridwell, 80, a lifelong resident of Bedford, died at 12:05 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born March 23, 1923 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Harold F. and Dorothy P. (Smith) Covey. She married Jack H. Bridwell on October 23, 1940 and he died November 8, 1995. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford. Survivors include one son, James H. Bridwell of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Marsha D. Hodges and her husband, Ron of Jupiter, FL; five grandchildren, Leonie Bridwell, Gabriel Bridwell and Halley Bridwell all of Phoenix, Paige Moser of Spring, TX and Wynna Dunmyer of Boynton Beach, FL; three great grandchildren, Alexa, Jackson and Emma Moser all of Spring, TX; two sisters, Linda Gates of Bedford and Colleen Hall of Bloomington; one brother, Bill Covey of Ocala, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 18th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
