Obituary of Mary Lou Brain

Bedford Mary Lou (Haase) Brain, 80, of Cambridge Square, Bedford, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her residence. Born September 24, 1930 in Cape Girardeau, MO, she was the daughter of Albert and Alvina (Blattel) Haase. She married Halden Lee Brain in August 1956. She was a homemaker and babysitter. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Aaron J. Brain and wife, Mattie L. of Springville, Jeffery M. Brain and wife, Frieda K. of Bedford, Theresa L. Magnus and husband, Mike of Oolitic, Angela M. Shank and husband, Bruce of Ellettsville and Jerry L. Brain and wife, Sarah of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Dustin A. Brian, Eric Hopkins, Lukus E. Shaw, Dominic Newport, David Newport, Abby Shank, Kaylee Barajas, Kaleb Barajas, Christopher Barajas and Tristen Brain; great grandchild, Savanah Hopkins; brothers, Eugene Haase and Pete Haase and wife, Judy all of Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Martha Kern and Anna May Rainey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 24th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
