Obituary of Connie Ann York

Heltonville Connie Ann York, 52, of 2689 West Powerline Road, Heltonville, died at 10:24 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born November 13, 1958 in Orange Co., IN, she was the daughter of Willis Edward and Catherine Effie (Groff) York. She married Harold E. Sears on December 2, 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was a homemaker and attended the Oolitic Baptist Church. She formerly attended the First Assembly of God in Bedford. Connie loved to knit, sew and read her Bible. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Phillips and husband, Tom Jr. of Heltonville, Kathy Amstutz and husband, Gary of Williams; one son, Robert Sears of Scottsburg; four grandchildren, Treyton, Max, James and Ozie Phillips; seven brothers, Ray, Charlie, David, Jerry, Cecil and Eddie York and Frank Parsons; five sisters, Debbie Neely, Rosemary Yother, Linda Ray, Patricia York and Marsha Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Johnny York. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Lowder Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, May 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
