Obituary of Forrest E. Inman

BedfordForrest E. (Johnny) Inman, 77, of 2910 Illinois Avenue, passed away at 5:37 P.M. Friday, May 13th at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on November 20, 1927 in Martin County, Indiana, he was the son of Forrest Inman and Anna Mae (Jackson) Inman. He married Norma Mae Lavender on November 12, 1949 and she passed away on December 9, 1998. He retired from GM Powertrain in 1992 after forty three years of service and was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, AA and UAW Local 440. Surviving is one daughter: Melanie R. Rainey and her husband, Jeff of Bedford; one grandson: Brackon Rainey; two sisters: Betty Haskett and Sue Meadows both of Bedford; and his special friend: Carol Hedrick of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and two brothers: Bill and Tom Inman. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Day & Carter on Monday, May 16th from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from noon until the hour of the service.
