Obituary of Dorothy Mae Wykoff

Dorothy Mae Wykoff, 94, died December 15, 2011 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, FL. Mrs. Wykoff was born in Bedford, IN and lived in Vero Beach for 10 years coming from Indianapolis, IN. She worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Bedford, IN before her retirement in 1966. She was a member of Vero Christian Church, Vero Beach, FL and former member of 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN and was a founding member of Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford, In and also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Bedford. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the XYZ Senior Club, Indianapolis, IN. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Cappelen of Vero Beach; stepdaughter, Connie Kay Brown of McKinney, TX; sister, Velma Todd of Meridian, MS; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wykoff; step-son, Johnnie C. Wykoff; brothers, Dale, Lloyd, Fred, Ray and Merle Bodenhamer; sister, Ruby Grimes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 pm on Tuesday, December 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Vero Christian Church, 3250 9th Street SW, Vero Beach, FL 32968 or the Visiting Nurse Assoc. and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Mrs. Wykoff.
