Obituary of Cecil V. Williams
BedfordCecil V. Williams, 87, of 1502 22nd Street, passed away at 6:45 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a short illness.
Born October 4, 1918 in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Henry Williams and Cynthia (Belvins) Williams. He was the manager of quality control at RCA in Bloomington where he retired in 1975. He was the founder of the Carousel Restaurant and Party House, and Williams Realty. He was granted Emeritus membership of the Bedford Board of Realtors, Inc. He was a long time member of the Central Church of Christ. He married Beatrice Jarvis on February 24, 1941 in Indianapolis and she survives.
Surviving with his wife of Bedford is two daughters: Cecilia (Cedar) Orman of Bedford and Linda Gayle Groce of Martinsville; four grandchildren: Stephen Haverly, Stephanie Koontz, Anthony Short and Tate Short; eight great grandchildren: Heidi Haverly, Holli Haverly, Nicole Koontz, Luke Short, Taylor Short, Cole Short, Matthew Vernon Short and Mason Short. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Laurin Williams; one sister in infancy, Evalou Williams and one granddaughter, Tammy Arnold. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Darrell Simon officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Friday, August 25th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
