Obituary of Beatrice Williams

Bedford Private family services were held Wednesday, June 8th for Beatrice Williams, 91, formerly of 1502 22nd Street, Bedford. She passed away on June 6, 2011 at Stonebridge Heath Campus in Bedford. Born September 3, 1919 in Barboursville, KY, she was the daughter of Millard and Delorah (Jones) Jarvis. She married Cecil Williams on February 24, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2006. She was the co-founder of the Carousel Restaurant and Party House in Bedford and was a long-time member of the Central Church of Christ in Bedford. Survivors include two daughters, Cecelia (Cedar) Orman of Bedford, IN and Linda Gayle Groce of Martinsville, IN; grandchildren, Stephen Haverly of Bedford, Stephanie Koontz, Anthony Short and Tate Short; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Josephine Williams, Mariah Petit, Alice Jarvis and Diana Williams; three brothers, Matt Jarvis, Millard Jarvis, Jr. and Delmar Jarvis; one granddaughter, Tammy Arnold.
