Obituary of Robert Clay Williams

Bedford Robert C. Williams, 76, of Bedford, died at 3:00pm on Friday, September 28, 2012 at White River Lodge in Bedford. Born June 24, 1937 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Clay O. and Marjorie (Anderson) Williams. He was a heavy equipment operator and production supervisor retiring in 1981. He married Janet S. Bradford on June 8, 1956 and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2004. Survivors include three daughters, Belinda Sue Holt of Mitchell, Shayne Marie Brown and her husband James of New Albany and Teresa Lynn Sanders and her husband Donnie of Mitchell; two sisters, Mary Padgett and Shirley Brinegar both of Bedford; grandchildren, Tim and Nathan Childers, Robert Holt, Jacob and Jordan Scalf, Mason and Makenzie Williams; 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son, Clayton Arthur Williams, son in law, Roy Holt. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Rodney Reynolds and Rev. Donnie Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
