Obituary of Jake Patrick Whittle

Bloomington, IN Jake Patrick Whittle (Gerald Lee Baker Jr.), 26, of Bedford died at 5:33 pm on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born June 8, 1987 in Bedford, he was the son of Gerald Lee Baker Sr. and Tina Marie (Imlay) Haste. Jake met Matthew Whittle on March 21, 2008 and he survives. He attended Cornerstone Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Jake enjoyed crafts, fishing, and being outdoors. Survivors include his partner Matthew Whittle of Bedford; mother and stepfather, Tina and James Haste of Bedford; father and stepmother, Gerald and Beth Baker of Henderson, NV; two brothers, Cameron Haste of Bedford and Gabriel Baker of Nevada; one sister Sheena Miller of Ellettsville; maternal grandfather, William Imlay III of Seymour; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Imlay of Seymour; paternal grandfather Mike Thompson; several aunts and uncles, Kim and Ed of Ellettsvile, Teresa Taylor of Greenwood, Amanda Lucas of Seymour, Penny Clark of Heltonville, Ki Eads of Heltonville, William M. Imlay of Seymour; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Roberta J Lucas; paternal grandmother, Leila Thompson; and one aunt, Roberta J. Wilson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday August 12th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day and Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the time of service on Monday August 12th at The Day & Carter Mortuary.
