Obituary of Donald J. Whitted

AvocaDonald J. Whitted, 48 of State Road 54, passed away at 10:50 A.M. Friday, March 3rd at Bloomington Hospital after a three year illness. Born on June 29, 1957 in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of David Whitted and Betty L. (Ford) Whitted. He was a die setter for General Motors and was of Baptist faith having been a member of the Springville Community Church. He married Linda K. Black on August 22, 1975 and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda of Avoca is three daughters; Jessica Carr and her husband, Scott of Orleans, IN; Jennifer Lafond and her husband, Kiley of Aurora, IL; Jaime Fischer and her husband, John of Avoca, IN; four grandchildren; Maille Lafond; Layla and Lillian Fischer and Samuel Carr; several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by: one brother; Michael Whitted and his grandparents; Stanley and Delphia Whitted. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter on Monday, March 6th from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from noon until the service hour. View Video Tribute
