Obituary of Ronald David Blevens

Bedford Ronald David Blevens, 67, of Bedford, died at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Hospice House in Bloomington. Born September 2, 1946 in Bedford, he was the son of Cecil and Evelyn Jane (Thompson) Blevens. He was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1966. Ronnie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps serving in Viet Nam and the Mediterranean. He was later employed as a security guard at NWSC Crane and was a painter for Pritchett Bros. Construction. Survivors include a daughter, Jenny Rich; a son, Jeff Blevens; a brother, Jim Blevens; three sisters, Suzi Todd, Janice Blevens and Tina McKee; two grandchildren, Hayden and Zander Rich; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Evelyn Blevens and a brother, Robert Cecil Blevens. Funeral Information Rons wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
