Obituary of Eugene Walters
Bedford-Eugene Rabbit Walters, 81, of 1716 24th Street Bedford died Friday, January 6, 2012 at the St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born October 4, 1930 he was the son of Albert and Laura (Stigall) Walters. He married Mildred Edington on April 8, 1950 and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2004. He later married Martha Glasgow on March 1, 2008 and she survives. He retired from General Motors in Bedford. He was a member of the St. Johns Episcopal Church, a member of the UAW Local # 440 and a member of the Lawrence county Saddle Club. He raised rabbits, was an avid horseman, an artist, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and fishing. After his retirement he owned Rabbit Transit Trucking Company and Rabbits Lawncare , he drove a truck for the Times Mail.
Survivors include his wife Martha of Bedford; two sons: Charles Walters and his wife Peggy of Bedford, Greg Walters and his wife Sherry of Bedford; two step daughters: Rita Euhl and her husband Robert, and Shelia Luttrell and her husband Terry of Bedford; one step son: Jeff Glasgow and his wife Lora of Bedford; four granddaughters: Amy Brothers and her husband Mark of Mitchell, Amanda Oktavec and her husband Joe of Bedford, Starr Anna Walters and her fiance Erik Eiteljorge of Bedford, Reva Diehl and her fiance Brandon Yother; several great grandchildren and great great grand children; one nephew Dewayne Walters of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother Robert Walters, his twin sister Imogene Walters, and twin siblings Buddy and Sis. Funeral Information
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Father Charlie Carpenter officiating. No public visitation per Rabbits wishes. Donations Information
