Obituary of Nathan D. Voorhies

Heltonville Nathan D. Voorhies, 30, of 2669 State Road 446, Heltonville, IN, entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Born February 4, 1979, he was the son of Dennis Voorhies and Viola (Doane) York. He was a construction worker in Bedford and attended Mundell Christian Church in Heltonville. He was loved by his many friends and all who knew him. Survivors include his fiance, Melinda Tarrants of Heltonville; one daughter, Katie Voorhies; one son, Alex Voorhies both of Bedford; three step-children, Whitney, Ashley and John D. Tarrants all of Heltonville; his mother, Viola of Bloomfield; his father and step-mother, Dennis and LaDonna Voorhies of Bedford; four brothers, Todd Voorhies of Bedford, Shawn Hall of Atlanta, GA, Jason Hall serving in the U.S. Navy and Jon Schuth of Bedford; a step-brother, Ray Stewart of Bloomington; his grandmother, Marge Voorhies of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 20th at Mundell Cemetery with Pastor Dan Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow.
