Obituary of Phyllis Turpin

Phyllis Turpin Phyllis Turpin, 75, of 1214 Oak Manor, Bedford, died at 5:20 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born November 15, 1932 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Spencer and Marie (Brown) Isom. She married Harvey E. Turpin on March 10, 1951 and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2007. She had worked as a cosmetologist at Aldens Dept. Store in Bedford and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and an avid boater. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Jeffery Turpin and his wife, Barbara of Carlsbad, CA, Sherry Turpin Nicholson of Bloomington, Bryan W. Turpin and his wife, Kim of Westfield, IN; eight grandchildren, Troy Menaugh, Brooke Hill, Mendey Menaugh Hettle and her husband, Steve, Nicole Turpin, Rebekah Turpin, Thomas Turpin, Haylie Turpin and Spencer Turpin; several great grandchildren; one sister, Francis Webster of Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Spencer Isom, Jr. and Wilbur Isom; one sister, Karen Davidson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating.
