Obituary of Mae Turner

BedfordMae Turner, 92, of Maddox Lane, Bedford, passed away at 8:52 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Garden Villa. Born on January 1, 1917 in Greene County, IN she was the daughter of Floyd Watkins and Maude (Roach) Watkins. She retired from M.F. Fines after working there for 25 years. Mae was a member of the Judah Church of Christ, AARP and NARFE. Mae was an avid bowler, enjoyed her beautiful gardens, liked to tend sheep, loved her dogs and enjoyed making quilts. She married Winfred W. Turner on November 10, 1937 and he passed away on August 28, 1998. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 20 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
