Obituary of Thomas Edwin Todd

Bedford Thomas Tom Edwin Todd, 83, of Bedford, died at 9:13 pm on Friday, September 21, 2012 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born November 19, 1928 in Heltonville, he was the son of Lois E. (Meadows) and Thomas M. Todd. He married Carol M. Feltner on September 30, 1950 and she survives. Tom was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired businessman. He owned Todds Petroleum and Todd & Craig Angus. He was a charter member of the Heltonville Area Veterans. Tom was also a former member of the Tri-County Bass Club. He was a member of the American Angus Association, Southern Indiana Angus Association, Cecil Martin American Legion Post 250, and the Englewood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Carol; two sons, Danny W. Todd of Bedford and Thomas E. Todd II and wife Carol A. of Bedford; one daughter, Debbie L. Craig and husband Jerry A. of Bedford; a special son, Cecil R. Blackwell of Bedford; four grandchildren, Daniel I. Todd and wife Danielle R., TJ Todd, Tina M. Todd, Trevor A. Craig and wife Melinda D.; nine great-grandchildren, Chloe Todd, Skyy Shake, Zayne Shake, Addy Ratliff, Thairon Todd Ratliff, Thomas Bryce Todd, Landen Todd, Ty Craig, Trey Craig; one brother, Lionel E. Todd of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Virginia Deckard; and one brother, Forrest Dean Todd. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26th at the Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Knott Cemetery with military rites by the Cecil Martin American Legion Post 250. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24th at the Englewood Baptist Church.
