Obituary of Marvin Bailey

Bedford Marvin Bailey, 78, of Bedford, died at 6:20 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at White River Lodge. Born September 28, 1930 in Bedford, he was the son of John Overton and Hattie E. (Nicholson) Bailey. He retired from Public Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Jacque Beyers. He later married Emily Ketchum and she preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Douglas Bailey of San Francisco, CA; three sisters, Vivian Bailey and Margaret Noel both of Bedford and Lucille Taylor of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Bill, John and Bob Bailey; one sister, Louise Deckard. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 1st from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Deacon Danny Deckard officiating. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, May 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
