Obituary of Dorothy P. Tincher

Dorothy P. Tincher Dorothy P. Tincher, 85, of 1447 Trogdon Lane, passed away at 8:15 A.M., Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on April 15, 1924 in Avoca, she was the daughter of Earl Roach and Essie (Harper) Roach. She had worked for Sarkes-Tarzian and the Bedford Regional Medical Center. She married James A. Tincher on November 1941 and he passed away on February 18, 1974. Surviving are four children: Gary B. Tincher and his wife, Deloris; Michael D. Tincher and his wife, Janet; Harvetta Smith and her husband, Gary all of Bedford and James A. Tincher II and his wife, Sue Ann of Bloomington; five grandchildren: Scott Tincher, Jamie Banister, Kimmie Downham, Kevin Tincher and Marty Staggs; eight great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren; one sister: Goldie Gilbert of Martinsville, two sisters in law: Phyllis Roach of Greenwood and Betty Roach of Avoca and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Owen and Oren Roach and her grandson: Ronnie Staggs. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15th at Green Hill Cemetery with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Friends may call at 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 on Tuesday, September 15th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
