Obituary of John Paul TeWalt

Bedford John Paul TeWalt, Jr., 79, of Bedford, passed away at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2009, with his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy TeWalt at his side. Born February 3, 1930 in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of John Paul TeWalt, Sr. and Francis Ann (Edwards) Williams. He married Judy Ann Brown in 1952 and she survives. He retired from Sarkes-Tarzian in Bloomington and was a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club. He served in the National Guard and enjoyed auto racing. John was loved by his step-mother, Raye TeWalt; step-father, Noble Williams; sister-in-law, Jean Roberts and her husband, Lewis; their children, Jill Heiser and Robby Roberts, his cousin Tom Edwards and his wife Sandy, and his close friends Debbie and Larry Craig, Mike Sanders, and Barbara Moen. He will forever be in the hearts of his wife, Judy, of Bedford; his son, Jay TeWalt, of Virginia Beach, VA; his granddaughters, Sarah and Jennifer; his grandson, Chris; his three great granddaughters and three great grandsons. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring people at Garden Villa Nursing Home and to all of those who were so generous to John in his last days.
