Obituary of Bill Wayne Terry

Bedford - Bill Wayne Terry, 67, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born October 23, 1943 to the late Wayne Terry and the late Jean Hyslop Terry. Bill was a 1961 graduate of Bedford High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1961 and was a hospital corpsman until being honorably discharged in 1963. He was employed at Philco Ford, Bedford Medical Center as an inhalation therapist, and at General Motors until he retired. Bill was loved by many and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He sincerely loved his family and was Johnny-on-the-spot when needed. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Christopher James and friend Tammy Still, of Bedford, his sister, Jan Terry Grow, Fairview, TN, his nephew, Kevin Bill Martin (Maria) of Louisville, KY, and cousins Ron Terry, Indianapolis, IN, Jim Terry, Indianapolis, IN, Mike Terry (Suzie), Tampa, FL and Pat Terry (Jo) of Bedford The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Dr. M. Girgis and the staff of Bedford Medical Center for the care that Bill received. Funeral Information Cremation was chosen. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, June 10th from 11:00 am until service hour at Day & Carter Mortuary. A service will be held at 12:30 pm at Day & Carter. Burial with military honors will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Humane Society or the First Christian Church.
