Obituary of Wilbert L. Terrell

Bedford Wilbert L. Terrell, 74, died at 3:30 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Garden Villa Nursing Home surrounded by all of his loved ones. Born May 3, 1934 in Bedford, he was the son of Erie and Knoxie Terrell. He married Peggy Joyce Patton on October 3, 1953. He was a masonry worker for 40 years and enjoyed his favorite hobby, buying and selling antiques. He is survived by two sons: Homer Terrell and his wife Amanda of Orleans, Ricky Terrell and his wife Sherry of Bedford, six daughters: Kathy (Terrell) Eagans and her husband Marty of East Oolitic, Brenda (Terrell) Wilson and her husband Floyd of East Oolitic, Helen Mae (Terrell) Pemberton and her husband Robert of Bedford, Kelly (Terrell) Nicholson and her husband Arthur of Bedford, Sherry Terrell and her companion Leslie Poole of Oolitic, Betty Jo Terrell of Bedford, 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, two brothers, Vernie and Gary Terrell of Bedford, six sisters, Helen Deckard, Sharon Ratliff, Geraldine Gaines, Marsha Canada, Connie Murphy and Rita Henderson all of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erie and Knoxie Terrell, wife Peggy (Patton) Terrell, two sons, Michael Terrell and David Terrell, two daughters, Knoxie (Terrell) Brown and Rosetta Terrell, one grandson, Stevie Eagans, one great granddaughter, Keyairian Caldwell and one sister Catherine Hopkins. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 30th at Patton Hill Cemetery with Rev. Becky Ryan officiating.
