Obituary of Joshua Bradley Sykes

Bedford-Joshua Bradley Sykes, 15, of 517 S Street; Bedford passed away on Friday, February 7th at the Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis, IN after a lengthy illness. Born on July 10, 1987 in Bedford, IN he was the son of Charles Bradley Sykes and Katrina J. (Deckard) Sykes. He attended the Central Church of Christ, enjoyed riding his Argo; enjoyed monster trucks and fishing and was a master of Playstation. He competed in Special Olympics and was the reining three-year winner of the electric wheel chair race. Surviving are his parents of Bedford; paternal grandparents: Charlie and Bonnie Sykes of Bedford; maternal grandfather: John Deckard of Bedford, and maternal grandparents: Tim & Deanna Zinram of Sunrise, FL; paternal great grandmother: Margie Deckard of Bedford; two uncles: Scott and Jeff Sykes; one aunt: Kim Sykes; one cousin: Krista Sykes. Preceded in death by: maternal great grandparents: Everett and Willa Taylor; one maternal great grandfather: Clinton E. Deckard; paternal great grandparents: Carrie and Warner Sykes and Delbert and Zalaya Smith. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Frank Binford officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, February 10th from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
