Obituary of Claude Swartz

Bedford Claude Swartz, 83, of Bedford, died at 12:20 am on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Garden Villa. Born January 8, 1929 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of David and Pearl (McCullough) Swartz. He worked in construction in Lawrence Co. and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his children, Claude Robert Swartz, Jr. of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Pollard of KY, Sherry Coy of Bloomfield, Charles Swartz of TX, Kenneth Swartz of TN, Robbie Swartz, Claude David Swartz of Bedford, Cristi Swartz of Bedford, Stormy Mitchell of Bedford; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Swartz of TX. He was preceded in death by brothers, David, Howard and Herman; sisters, Lillian, Goldi and Lela; a daughter, Victoria Swartz. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 29th at the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm on Friday, June 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
