Obituary of Gladys Glee Swango

Bedford, Gladys Glee Swango, 81, of Bedford, formerly of Ridgewood Apartments, died at 1:55 pm on Sunday, May 15th, at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born on April 24, 1924 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Elmer and May (Sherill) Graham. She married Rex Swango in November 1951 and he died in February 1968. She retired from Indiana Bell as a telephone operator and attended the Englewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing as a hobby. Surviving is one sister: Pearl Clark of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters: Ruby Frye and Thelma Magers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
