Obituary of Christeen Strunk

BedfordChristeen Strunk, 87, of the Stonebridge Health Campus, and formerly of the Avoca-Eureka Road, passed away at 10:25 P.M. Friday, February 6th at Stonebridge Health Campus. She was born on June 28, 1921 in Oolitic, IN to Eph Taylor and Eva (Morrow) Taylor. She was a housewife and had formerly worked at Crane and RCA as an assembly worker. She attended the Peerless Pentecostal Church. She married Matt Strunk in 1938 and he preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters: Phyllis Goldsby of Bedford; Norma McDonald of Bedford and Kay Knight and her husband, Ronald of Bedford; 13 grandchildren: Jeff, Tina, Jenny and Donneta Strunk; Joe, Jay and Elizabeth Glasgow; Tim, Barry and Steve Turpin; Lynn and Ronda Knight and Crystal Shirley; several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; four brothers: Herman, Guy, Emmery and Jake Taylor all of Bedford; three sisters: Ocie Brown, Wanda Cunnington, Adaline Fortner all of Bedford; she was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons: Donald and Steve; two sisters: Josephine Hughes and one in infancy; three brothers: Norman Taylor, Glen Taylor and one in infancy; one grandson: Gary Glasgow. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Alan Phillips and Brother Max Able officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 10th from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
