Obituary of Grace B. Stonestreet

Grace B. Stonestreet 89 of 32 Spencer Pike Road Springville, IN went peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19,2007 at 6:54 p.m. Born August 17, 1917 in Owenton, KY She was the daughter of John Thomas and Lula Belle (parker) Duvall. She married Charles Thomas Stonestreet November 23,1939 and he died April1~ 1968. They had one daughter Kathleen (Kathy) Stonestreet BlJrtley. A niece Betty (Duvall) West also lived in their home. She was a homemaker, as well as, a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Bedford where she passionately served as missionary director for over thirty- two years. Two granddaughters Grace Flynn and her husband William of Springville (whom she lived with) and Beth Wykoff and her fiance Tim Buente of Bedford survive her. There is one grandson Robert N. Wykoff, Jr. and his wife Susan of Bedford. There are twelve great grandchildren: Heidi, Chad, Luke, Michael and Emily Flynn; Justin . Canfield, Jared Canfield and his wife Amy, Stacie (Canfield) Deckard and her husband Tyler, Samantha and John Canfield; Robin (Wykoff) Siebe and her husband Jonathon, and Brandi (Wykoff) Puckett and her husband Mike. There are seven great-great grandchildren: Austin Pemberton, Taylor and Ian Canfied, Olivia Newlin, Elodie Canfield, and Hayden and Carson Puckett. Three brothers also survive her: John P., Hugh J., and Melvin Duvall, as well as, two sisters: Adele Bowyer and Thelma Spaulding. There are several nieces and nephews surviving that will greatly miss "Aunt B.~' Preceding her in death are her husband, daughter, parents, and two brothers: Morris and Elmo (that died in infancy) Duvall and a sister Sybil Lusby. Pallbearers are Robert N. Wykoff, Jr., Heidi, Chad, and Luke Flynn, and Jared and John Canfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral time on Thursday June 21, 2007 at 3 :00 p.m. at the First Wesleyan Church on 24th and "I Street Bedford with Pastor Gordon Tilley conducting the funeral services. On Friday there will be a viewing at the McDonald and New Funeral Home Owenton, KY from 11 :00 a.m. until 1 :00 p.m., prior to burial at the 1.0.0. F. cemetery. Reverends Jan Miller and Rob Hedrick will officiate. Her great nephew David Bickers will sing. Those that called her "Mamaw" or "Aunt B" in addition to her friends and church family will sadly miss her. She will be fondly remembered for the numerous cards she sent over the years, her tatting, her many acts of kindness, and how she demonstrated a true Christian walk and genuine love to those who knew her throughout her life here on Earth. (Our Virtuous Woman) In lieu of sending flowers it is requested that contributions be made to a missionary of your choice to further the gospel of Jesus Christ.
