Obituary of Carl W. Stone

Bedford Carl W. Stone, 73, of 415 State Road 458, Bedford went to be with the Lord at 7:53 pm at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born, April 4, 1935 in Martin County, IN, he was the son of Rafael D. and Ophia Marie (Bridgewater) Stone. He first married Becky Sue Mayden and she preceded him in death. He then married Mildred Fenander (Swango) on April 15, 1984 and she survives. He was a retired meter reader with Public Service and was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church. Surviving with his wife, Mildred is: one son, Jeff Stone and his wife, Diane of Bloomington, one grandson, Matthew H. Stone of Bloomington, one granddaughter, Courtney E. Stone of Bloomington, one sister, Mary Alice Porter and her husband Wally of Mitchell, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Russell L. Stone and his first wife. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 17, 2008 from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceport Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 16th and from noon until the hour of the service on Monday at the mortuary.
