Obituary of Joel W. Stillions

Bedford Joel W. (Ward) Stillions, Sr., 56, of 222 Crest Motel Road, Bedford, died at 7:10 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born October 28, 1951 in Bedford, he was the son of Harley and Nellie (Deckard) Stillions. He married Terri Stafford on April 10, 1971 and she survives. He was a welder and fabricator for Reynolds, Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Surviving with his wife, Terri, are two daughters, Bridget and Wendi Stillions both of Bedford; one son, Joel Stillions, II of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Chase, Chance and Tabin Stillions, Colby Stillions, Harleigh Kyndall Kern, Blaine Stillions, Hannah and Haleigh Williams; one brother, Gary Stillions of Bedford; one sister, Linda Cobb of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews: Ernie Joel Cobb and Earl Dean Cobb. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ken Bushey officiating.
