Obituary of Mildred J. Stigall

March 13, 1926 July 2, 2011 Mildred J. Stigall, 85, of Bedford, died the morning of Saturday, July 2, 2011 at I.U. Health Bedford. Born March 13, 1926 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Walter and Mary (Gaines) Pollard. She was employed at the Central Foundry in Bedford where she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. She married James Fount Stigall on September 22, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1999. Survivors include one son, Jack Stigall and his wife, Agnes Stigall of Bedford; two daughters, Mary Ann Todd and her husband, Gerald of Heltonville, and Ronda J. Hillenburg and her husband, Dwight of Heltonville; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; five brothers, George, Jim, Leo, Roy and Clyde Pollard; one sister, Hazel Tinsley; and one grandchild, Amiee Todd. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Huddleson and Fred Barger officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, July 5th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
