Obituary of Eva Lucille Spires

Bedford Eva Lucille Spires, 90, of 701 V Street, Bedford, died at 4:05 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Core Nursing Center in Bedford. Born September 30, 1912 in Orange Co., she was the daughter of Claude and Anna (Quillen) Livingston. She married Ervin Spires on April 24, 1930 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1983. She was a homemaker and attended the Free Methodist Church in Bedford. Survivors include three daughters, Jewell Goldsberry of Mooresville, Mary Ann Graham of Bedford and Junetta Goff of Ohio; two sons, Robert Runt Spires and Rick Spires both of Bedford; one brother, Robert Max Livingston of Mitchell; twenty-seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Gaylord and Donald Spires; one daughter, Joyce Larsen; one brother, Clovis Livingston and one sister, Olive Hutton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain and Pastor Dave Colgan officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
