Obituary of Betty Jeanette Spires

Bedford Betty Jeanette Spires, 76, of Garden Villa, formerly of Needmore, died at 11:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.Born August 13, 1931 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Emery and Marguerite (Link) Charles. She was an assembler at RCA in Bloomington for thirty-five years and was a member of the Gulletts Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Debra Mason and her husband, Gary of Linton and Leann Groh and her husband, Brian of Judah; one son, Jerry Spires and his wife, Teresa of Judah; two sisters, Gloria Arthur of Needmore and Wanda Weilbaker and her husband, Ronnie of Judah; two brothers, Jack Charles and his wife, Ruthie of Avoca and Robert Charles and his wife, Harriet of Brooksville, FL; six grandchildren, Barry Blackwell, Jamie Walker, Justin and Jesse Spires, Dylan and Dusty Groh; five great grandchildren, Tyler Cliver, Jacob Blackwell, Bria Templeton, Lacey Walker and Kayne Spires; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, April 14th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Lewis Williams and Pastor Billy Brim officiating. Burial will follow in the Talbott Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
