Obituary of Robert Harold Sons

Bedford Robert Harold Sons, 72, of 2870 Tunnelton Road, Bedford, died at 7:47 pm on Friday, January 2, 2004 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born December 22, 1931 in Lawrence County, he was the son of William E. and Della M. Sons. He married Patsy Ruth Conley and she died in 1999. He later married Carolyn Sue Tillett on October 20, 2001 and she survives. He was employed at RCA for many years and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bedford. He enjoyed playing music and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a corporal during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue of Bedford; one step-daughter, Melanie Phillips and her husband, David of Bedford; two step-grandchildren, Cassandra Waldridge of Mitchell and Kacie Waldridge of Bedford; two step great grandchildren, Felicity Agan and Tyson Agan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Patsy and several brothers and sisters and two children, Beth and Penny (in infancy). Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7th at Dive Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, January 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
