Obituary of Mildred J. Smith

Bedford Mildred J. Smith, 79, of 2036 31st Street, Bedford, died at 7:40 am on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born March 12, 1927 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ralph and Doris (Williams) Harris. She married Robert Smith on December 26, 1967 and he preceded her in death. She retired as a secretary from Star Stone Co. in Bloomington. Survivors include two sons, Donald T. Cox and Robert C. Smith both of Bedford; one daughter, Georgia Hoult of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Rhea Hoult, Jacob Hoult, Andrea Erskine, Kelley B. Cox, Tiffany N. Smith and Robert W. Smith; one great grandchild, Haley D. Cox; two brothers, Smith Harris of Bedford and George Harris of Williams; one sister, Rosalie Terry of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Wayne and Donald Harris. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Thursday, October 19th at the Owensburg Cemetery with Dirus Dustin officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
