Obituary of Keri R. Umphress Smith

Bedford Keri R. Umphress Smith, 44, of Bedford, died at 2:38 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a lengthy illness. Born August 16, 1970 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Wayne Umphress and Deratha Dee (McClintock) Smith. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Dee Smith and husband, Jerald, of Utica, KY; her father, Wayne Umphress and wife, Mary, of Bedford; a daughter, Ceara Smith of Philpot, KY; a son, Chance Smith of Utica, KY; a granddaughter, Allie Raymer; a brother, Cody Umphress of Bloomington, IN; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Umphress. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Spice Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, November 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
