Obituary of Martha J. Sims

Mitchell Martha J. Sims, 76, of 2717 Port Williams Dr., Williams, IN, died at 5:00 am on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Mitchell Manor in Mitchell, IN. Born November 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Lowell and Bessie (Daniel) Bridges. She married Glen Sims on December 24, 1967 and he preceded her in death. She was a retired school teacher and a Pink Lady volunteer for Dunn Memorial Hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Sims of Clinton, OK and Penny Northcutt and her husband, Dwaine of Ponca City, OK; one son, Kendall Sims of Jersey City, NJ; one granddaughter, Lisa Brooks and her husband, Ron of Guthrie, OK and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Special thanks and acknowledgement to Ralph & Mary Jo Canady of Bedford and Bill & Phyllis Adams of Williams for the attention and care given to Martha over the last 13 years. Funeral Information Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, July 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pat Blyeth officiating. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence County Historical Museum or the White River Humane Society.
