Obituary of Bonnie C. Silvers

Oolitic Bonnie C. Silvers, 61, of 209 Indiana Ave., Oolitic, died at 10:44 pm on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born January 23, 1949 in Bedford, she was the daughter o Luther and Sena (Owens) Strunk. She married Ronald Silvers on September 16, 1965 and he survives. She was a cook with the North Lawrence Community School System and employed at Oolitic. She was a member of the First Church of God in Bedford. She worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship for over twenty-five years and was their county coordinator for ten years. Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Oolitic; two sons, Ron Silvers and wife, Jayne of Oolitic, Jon Silvers and wife, Cathy of Bedford; five grandchildren, Meighan Sehr and husband, Drew of Greenwood, Chelsie Daugherty, Heather Daugherty, Emily Daugherty, Devin Silvers all of Bedford; two great grandchildren, Zaryn Daugherty and Logan Pond; two sisters, Linda Phillips and husband, Larry of Springville and Betty Pencek and husband, Joe of Kokomo; three brothers, Bob Strunk of Nashville, TN, Claude Strunk and wife, Kathryn of Taswell, Don Strunk and wife, Sandy of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eugene Strunk, one sister, LuAnn Strunk and a nephew, Mike Strunk. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 23rd at the First Church of God in Bedford with Pastor Travis Inman and Pastor Perry East officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 22nd and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, July 23rd at the First Church of God. No visitation at the mortuary.
